Making a statement in parliament, Tamil National Alliance MP R. Sampanthan stated that the government should be ashamed to use LTTE as an excuse and that it had failed to provide remedies to post war Sri Lanka.
He further added that the Tamil community had a different culture and civilisation and that it should be integrated to the Sri Lanka Nation, but not accumulated.
