A prominent Government politician in the Nuwara Eliya District has requested the public to vote for the UNP in the upcoming Local Government elections, the Up-Country People's Front leader V. Radhakrishnan said
The reason for such a statement being made is reportedly due to the candidate name lists forwarded by government MP being rejected, he added.
The Up-Country People's Front has expressed their support to the government and such anti government acts by a government MP is severely condemned, MP V. Radhakrishnan said in a statement.
He further added that the activities of the said MP will be reported to the government as well as the Election Commissioner.
