Trevor Bayliss, Sri Lanka’s cricket coach from Australia, too is to give up his duties with the National team after their tour of Pakistan.
The Sunday Leader learns that his contract runs upto August, and that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) were to meet all obligations to Bayliss.
It is also learned that English County Kent’s coach, Graham Ford, may be the replacement for Bayliss, as he has shown interest.
India too were keen to get the services of Ford, who decided to remain with Kent. Gary Kirstein of South Africa was recruited by India.
Earlier, former Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody, and Greg Chappel too had been approached. But The Sunday Leader learns that they turned down the offer.
