Driver problems. Still, nVidia haven't got them properly fixed.

It's a pity that nVidia has better hardware and crappy drivers and ATI - the exact opposite. End result is, both are crappy

I thought ATI had better hardware, you know AMD

But with my card (6600LE 256MB) - the driver tht comes with vista performs better than the latest drivers downloaded from nvidia.com

It's a problem of closed source OS. If M$ gave specifications about their new OS to nVidia they might have got drivers out in time. Might be another reason not to go with vista

See, ATI just released their cards. Surely, more cards are coming. Maybe X2950XTX will do the trick. They are late however!!!

If you are on XP, then go with nVidia. If you are on Vista, ATI is the better choice.

That's just a lame excuse. 2900XT was supposed to be faster than any nVidia card when they were released. Apparently, AMD cannot be trusted anymore (Now they are saying Barcelona might not be much faster, if at all, than the upcoming Core 2 Duos )
