Driver problems. Still, nVidia haven't got them properly fixed.

It's a pity that nVidia has better hardware and crappy drivers and ATI - the exact opposite. End result is, both are crappy :(

I thought ATI had better hardware, you know AMD

But with my card (6600LE 256MB) - the driver tht comes with vista performs better than the latest drivers downloaded from nvidia.com :P

    unbelievable:shocked:

It's a problem of closed source OS. If M$ gave specifications about their new OS to nVidia they might have got drivers out in time. Might be another reason not to go with vista:eek:

so then wat would be the best card to use??? ATI or Nvidia? or are there any other?
If you are on XP, then go with nVidia. If you are on Vista, ATI is the better choice.

read the review well.In that same review you can find that ATi said 2900XT is for 8800GTS not for the GTX.
That's just a lame excuse. 2900XT was supposed to be faster than any nVidia card when they were released. Apparently, AMD cannot be trusted anymore :frown: (Now they are saying Barcelona might not be much faster, if at all, than the upcoming Core 2 Duos )

Since we use pirated copies,Its better switch the OS,not the card.
But we can expect the drivers to get better and better. Even though nVidia drivers for Vista sux as of now, it will get up to the standard in a (short) while.

pics of gaming with Phenoms seems eye candy. And they jus released the X2 6400+(3.2GHz) to beat E6850.

Still, what's the point of having a 8800GTX and not being able to play DX10 games (in WinXP)? :D
