This rabbits leave of their warren to seek a place to live, facing many harsh situations along the way.Their Leaders name is hazel. he leads his group through extreme difficulties.
and Blackberry, the wisest of rabbits; sometimes helps him in taking decisions. followed by phsically stonger and braver ones like Bigwig.
In the end they find a new home.but with many sacrafices along the way.

The story is kind'a fiction, But It gives a big mesage to those who read it. The power of a good leader, Importance of being in and working as a group to achieve targets. How to face fears bravely..etc.


A fiction yet..a remarkable novel I can say.

Comments: This is the true story about Alexei Petrovich Maresiev, a combat pilot during WW2 who had lost his feet when his plane was shot down in 1942 during a combat fight but managed to fullfill his dream...........to fly again and hunt down Germans. A must read book. It's all about working hard and making your dreams come true.

I have read the sihalese translation and the pic I'v uploaded is the cover of it. Couldn't find a proper cover on the net. Newer editions in Sri Lanka may have different covers.

I can remember when I do A/L’s I read one book per day at that time I loved to read sweet dreams but one day I got to read Mr. Ediriweera Sarathchandra’s “ Malaunge Aurudu Da and Malaunge Lokaya”.I have Library with me which includes 1,082 Sinhala and English books but still mage favourite “Malaunge Aurududa” eka tharam hithata wedunu thawa pothak ne.
