One other point ... lkdood I think youve been brain washed by the white people you are living among. Its true we need inward investment and exports to develop our economy. But we need to develop trade with our neighbours first instead of trying to trade with those pathetic white people in the west who say one thing and do another.

i think you are referring to the IMF

Sri lanka currently takes IMF money (low interest loans)

interest is about 1% (per year)

they also have conditions on these loans

the thing it @ the moment EU does not care if they dont give the GSP to sl or nt coz they have india,and country's like china etc... where Meany people are willing to work...
the case our poor people loose the jobs.. Thats the case..
and the bad thing is sl taking loans from other country's every time ... from the world bank, UN, USA & China ,Russia, India.. next month they are going to take another loan saying the SL economy is stable.... so every day the SL rupee Goes down..
