Hacking Win7 Experience Index
Method:
1. goto "%windir%\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore" (ie:"C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore")
2. make a backup of "XXXXXXXXXXX-Formal.Assessment (Initial).WinSAT.xml". then right-click and select edit.the file should b open wit notepad.if not open the file file wit notepad manually.
where XXXXXXXXXXX is date and time of lastrun.
3. goto "windows Experience index" and keep that window as u can see easily.then click on the "windows Experience index" so u can see detailed view of index.
4. now goto edit>>find & replace. then replace all the index values in "step 3" wit the index value what u wish (IE:7.9)
5. then save the file, close and re-open "windows Experience index"
