Hardware experts! Help needed! (Again)

I bought a new 1GB DDR II 667Mhz RAM today,
but, there's a problem, when I start my machine with both my old and new RAMs, my BIOS shows only the new RAM.

Please, help me.

ah, dis board only support 2 GB of max ram . have you tried a 533Mhz DDR2 ??? what is the make of the ram??? (both the rams )

no, I haven't tried the 533MHz, I already bought a 800MHz, but my old RAM is 667, so, I replaced the new one with a 667 1GB, then this problem came.

My old ram is Samsung and new one is intel.

800 Mhz??? this is a bit old board my friend.. you should use 533 bus speed ram. dont you have the Mother board manual??? some times a single 667Mhz ram will work on it with backwrd compatibility . but when you plug 2 it gives trouble . but only with some brands . so better to try 400 or 533 DDR 2 Rams.

i think so. dont know whether you can find Brand new 400Mhz & 533 Mhz from the market . but second hand rams are there . dont you have the mother board manual??? go through it

by the way, I have a doubt. If I bought a 533Mhz, and connect it with my current 667MHz RAM, will it cause any problems?

it means im not sure about the rams behavior . only thing i can say is try it. if it works you are lucky . if not start looking for another 533 DDR 2 ram
