Not only HP, IBM (branded) PCs got da same.(especially GL series couz there was a bios prob dat sm KBs want recong at the 1st boot (of couz we can press F1 :D)

While working on a recent project working under Linux, I had to copy a large (>8GB) file over the network from the Linux machine to another one. At the end of a long copy process (even on a gigabit network), I got an error message that there was an error copying the file. Clicking on the “Show more details” showed me this:

How can an error copying a file show details as “Success”? LOL!!! More reasons that open source software on Linux need information architects and copywriters to check their error codes!

yah ri8. Can you show me a 100% perfect OS ? No you can't. Linux simply dun hv incurable or OUT OF THE BOX errors since it community developed

(your Pics/site is nt working, ) there are sm funny bugs (miner and can cure with two or 3 CLI typs/refresh) with Gnome (and l8r KDEs also) dats y i hate gnome (fixes withina day) , but Linux is not gnome or KDE ri8?

yah linux have bugs. but nt those silly ones dat windows got :D

    Actually he's posted a valid error message. I've seen it several times.
    The error is not with linux but with the CIFS file system( windows file shares). When copying very large files over windows files shares, sometimes there are packet drops and the complete file doesnt get copied. This happens when copying from windows pc to another windows pc as well. Its certainly not a linux error per say.
