HDD Problem

I have a 250GB Hitachi HDD which is few months old,
when i using PC short while ago there was a sound from HDD like "tak tak tak" and it's like the usual sound which comes after head and disc get touched(hard ekata kela unama enne)

then i rebooted and entered BIOS and it showed HDD,so i restarted again and then got "PRIMARY MASTER FAILED",
i thought it's time to have a new HDD and tried to find the bill to claim warrent,but i couldn't find it yet,

then i changed the power cable and switched on the PC and it went fine and booted to Windows,

i wanna knw what's this really is coz i've heard this sound when a HDD to be replaced,

i love Seagate but in here it's hard to find so that's why i got a Hitachi,{I'm using SEAGATE HDDs for 10 yearsmoh!It rules,Maxtor SUX,but don't know about hitachi,this is my first hitachi HDD}

i think this is normal thing some time happen if this happen often then pay attntion

second keep all bill in file you never know they are needed

If you hear a sound from a hard disk, usually it means it will die sooner or later. First thing you should do is stop worrying about the hard disk, and backup your data if you haven't done that already. Then wait for it to fail.

yeah after loosing 3*40GB HDDs i always backup data on DVDs,
