It's not the case my friend. we are descending from Benghali's. Sinhalese are a cross of Aryans (sub group Caucasians) from Benghal and Vedda (known scientifically as sub group Australoids - austrailian aboriginees).
Blood grup analysis
Caucasoids - A - 5%, B - <1%, AB - <0.1%, O - 95%
Australoids (Vedda) - A - <1%, B - >99%, AB - <0.1%, O - <1%
Sinhalese - A - 5%, B - 45%, AB - <0.1%, O - 50%
Blood groups are nearly 100% inherited.
Thalassemia mutations
Thalassemia is a blood disorder where there is a defect in Hemoglobin producung gene, producing a disease group called Hemolytic Anemia. There are hundreds of types of mutation in the gene.
Sinhalese inherit the disease pattern of Bengalis, not Hindi speaking North Indians (Who are a pathetic lot). The mutation carried by Portugese and dutch are few. Mutations carried by Tamils (Non aryan race, or the natives of Indian sub continent) are the second frequent showing that there is some mixing. Note that Veddas don't get thalassemia unless a vedda woman had some fun with a sinhalese or a tamil.
I thing Rawana Soyuro is posting crap without any concrete evidence. If there is, they should present it as they describe something
