Help about a Cheque

    Guys,

    Today I got a Cheque from Kapruka, Cheque is written to My Name and I'm still 17 years. If it is a Cash Cheque I can cashout it but this is not a cash Cheque nah so what can I do for it? Help me guys.

    Edit: Cheque is from Seylan bank but I don;t have any accounts in that bank :(

    Hi Fire Bird, you can deposit the ceque to your savings account. However you will have to meet the officer in charge at the bank branch and tell him/her how you got the cheque. s/he will have to approve the deposit.

    However, I'm not sure about Sampath Bank, coz they are really old fashioned when it comes to procedures like this. Commercial, Standard Charters, Peoples Bank and HSBS accepts cheques to be deposited in savings accounts.

    A cheques is usually valid for 6 months from date of issue unless mentioned otherwise on the cheque.

    there isn't a problem if I can deposit it Kapruka will approve that they gave it. :yes:

    matat langadi oka una ODEL eken cheque ekaka awith ;)
    sampath eke kisi aulk na mage tiyenneth sampath thama,cheque was from DFCC Vardhana
