Cos although cima has the word accountants in it, companies do not recognize cima as a good qualification to be an accountant. Usually cima is more oriented towards management side and less to accountancy side. I am saying this cos one of my friends having completed cima was turned down for accountant positions stating that companies prefer chartered accountants over cima ones. Also in any field (I mean engineering, IT,etc..) the chartered status is far more superior than just a membership such as cima.In the professional world, having a charter is considered as having a M.Sc level competency.
