[HELP] Galaxy S10e - How come it's already so cheep?

Guys,

Can someone explain how this phone got so cheap over the course of 2-3 months?
It was launched at $750 (around 130k lkr) for the base model (6gb ram + 128gb storage) back in February.
I did try to find brand new listings for this phone on ikman lk and its already under 100k which is much lower than launch price
On the other hand, iPhone XR which was released nearly over half-a-year ago at the same price of S10e still costs well over 130k

What should I look for when buying a new samsung phone?
I've been a long time iPhone user and finally decided to switch to the other side as the prices are insane and new versions of ios seems heavily bloated just like android.

well to start with, however good the specs are on a Samsung, it doesnt hold value and depreciates very fast Compared to Apple products. Doesnt necessarily mean Apple is better. Perceived value of apple products are high. Because in a country like srilanka, owning a apple product is equivalent to owning a luxury item.
