Help - how to add adsense to wordpress blog?

i want to add adsense to my wordpress blog.

has anybody done it before and can tell me how to do it?

also i need to know how to do (SEO) search engine optimisation.

can somebody help me pls?

Edit and embed adsense codes to template files or use adsense plugin (but you may also need to edit the templates)

i mean i thought that was one of those only sites where we can post our creations and feelings leaving aside the money factor.

but there is no plugins tab... i have looked everywhere and i'm sure.

is that normal or is it because of the theme i'm using?

no machang there's no plugins tab in my account or my dashboard.

i don't know what the reason is

ok i just found out why.

its because i'm using a WordPress.com account and not a wordpress.org account.

so i think i'll have to host my stuff on a server and then i'll have access to install plugins and stuff.

does anybody know if i am right?

yep..
you have to host ur wordpress to a hosting..
without that you cant edit da template file. you dont have permission in wordpress.com

from wordpress.org you can download wordpress package for free.

if you are not clear let me know ill exlain 2 u..
