Tourism is the 2nd foreign exchange source in Sri lanka.
Tourists bring foreign currency and spend them in SL. Which is good for the coutry's economy.
Coz of tourism many jobs will appear. Like the boat tours in Hikkaduwa, Jeep tours in Yala etc. and Hotels etc as well.
Culture will have a minor hit. Like in Hikkaduwa there are many prostitutes.

1.mainly da foreign exchange advantage - when foreigners bring dollars to SL n when they convert their dollars into Rs da demand for ruppee increases as a result our currency strengths.
2.building f new hotels in da tourist attraction areas- this has few advantages.
*da residents live within da area will get jobs as a result their livin status increases.
*there wil b a new businees opportunities around those areas lyk antique shops,hand loom shops etc there by ppl wil get employed n they wil get a good incom n as a result da social unrest in those areas wil b low.
*opportunities for suppliers to supply products to hotels - fish,vegetables..
*mostly hotels outsource their support services lyk laundry,cleanin- da residents within dat area can get da opportunity to tie up with hotels n do business.

tourists attracting to a country means da country has to develop their infrastructure inorder to maintain arrivals of tourists.. increasing infrastructure may help da residents f dat country n ffor da corporate residents too.
