I am not PC expert.

But, Just plug it in.

Make a different folder. and use it to carry the data.

That's what I do with my 4gb nano

ok say it DOES, (please remember I am not compu wiz)

how would that effect the Nano ?

because isn't viruses act only on PC's ?

Please excuse my ignorance..beceuase I really don't know a "LOT" about Computers.

I just use linux based systems cause that's what I had to use for about 5 years in States (simply couldn't afford a original WIN 98 those days ) so, I am Stuck with Linux and have next to non knowladge about Windows (frankly, I don't even know how windows work.. I KID YOU NOT)

But , play all the games through VMware....yeah !! I have a Absolute BEAST of a machine back at home
