Splitting doesn't mean anything regarding separate ur internet connection into multiple ways. We are using splitter to separate certain bands (adsl,Cable tv and phone line) in ur analogue wired telephone line. The only way u can split ur internet connection by using a router.As i figured the best way is to buy ADSL wireless+modem and router which can cover 300m area  (equipped with two antennas).
