USEFULNESS: Helps you create a backup copy of a data disc.
Launch Alcohol 120%. At first glance, you should see a link called "Image Making Wizard" to the left. Click to advance. The next screen allows you to choose the speed at which you want to copy your disc. Also, several other options are available, such as a feature to skip any errors encountered during the creation of the image. Feel free to leave these at a default level.
Step 2
Click "Next." You should now see the destination where you wish to save your image file to. Also, you have the option to save your disc image as several different formats such as CUE, CCD, or MDS. Overall, the image you make will always have the same quality and contents, regardless of your choice. Refer to the external links for a further explanation on these subjects.
Step 3
--== BURNING THE IMAGE ==--
USEFULNESS: Helps you burn a backup copy/image onto a disc.
Within the application, click on the "Image Burning Wizard" located at the main menu to the left. The next screen will prompt you to browse for an image to burn. You will also have the choice to delete the original file/image after the burning process is complete. Unless you no longer need the original source, I suggest you do NOT use this option.
Step 4
Once you have chosen what image to burn, click "Next." The next screen will show which CD/DVD drive the program will use to burn the desired file (if multiple available), the write speed, and the write method. Feel free to leave all options at the default level. Furthermore, you may also choose if you are burning an audio CD, or even a console compilation such as a Play Station game. Click "Start" to begin task. Enjoy!
