After you press the "turn off computer" button you'll get a window. Now just press "Shift" key and you'll see the "Hibernate icon. :D

Well, what does he want the hibernate button for? To take a picture and frame it I suppose.

Besides, if you want to stick to the exact question he asked, then what you said is also wrong. Actually his question is incomplete. He didn't say he wants to fine the hibernate icon on XP. He may have asked about Vista. There is no such hibernate button in Vista.

do you know answering a question practically means that answering the question simple and sharp to the question.
I know that you know too many things abt computer field more than i do. But get this right, nobody wants to know everything you know. Just wanna know the answer for what they are looking for.

So when you answer something practically, just try to stick to the question, try to make the answer practical and try to make it more understandable for common people.(cose not everybody goes to university level education:rolleyes: )

The thing is, how do you know whether he is asking about XP or Vista? If he is asking about Vista, your answer is not applicable. (How can something which is not applicable be practical? :D)

    Ummmm.. :P

If u really wanna stick on to da question,
Then u both are wrong :P

Coz he's asking help to make appear the hobernate icon
There's no such icon in Windows XP nor in Vista  :P (jk)

    lolzzz    :D

    BTW,
Go Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options,
Then click on the Hibernate tab,
Then check the 'Enable Hibernation' Checkbox,
    Then click Apply and OK
    This will Enable Hibernation

You need to do this first if that Shift hold thing wont work...

NOTE : This will take/reserve about 500MB of ur Disk Space on drive C:
