Well this is strange...I called them in the evening to complain them about the slowness in the internet browsing speed.
They wanted me to go to www.sltnet.lk and download something and let them know the download rate. It was 52 KBps in day time when my browsing speed to any other site is around 12KBps
This is what they said. They provide 512 from SLT to our home. Other than that the browsing speed is not their responsibility as it's shared bandwidth. And again they said we are offering up to 512kbps so you should be able to accept even 1KBps as per the agreement.
How strange this is...
The call center guy that I spoke was called "Priyankara"
I am really going to call TRC tomorrow and make a complain about it. I have done the same thing when I was having the 1000 package as they send me a huge bill of 14000/=. After the TRC complain they reduced the bill by 9000 Rupees which is also higher that my actual usage. But I had to pay it to get my phone line activated.
