No machan I have said that because I have scene some TV commercials in Shakti TV,about some shops in Wellwatte. When they pronounce the address of da shop they pronounce it as Wellawattey. daz an indication sooner wellwatte will become wellawattey.

me seriously does any one know how Nugegoda name was made??

as far as i know, there was a big Nuga tree in the town lu... so one day it fell down in to the near by drain coz of wind lu... so then people used to cross the drain with use of that 'Nuga' tree lu.. so da word came up
