wow.. if the FD is for one year and gives 15,000 per month for 500,000, the interest rate is 36% per annum. This is way too high.

As far as I know the company can not take deposits unless it is authorized by the CBSL. But leasing, pawning and other business they can do.

Please inform this to CBSL's Department of supervision of non bank financial institutions.
