If you have the original CoD4 or atleast an original CD-Key, online play puluwan hamachi nathuwa. I suggest you at least buy a CD-key (about 25$ on ebay) and play online, since it is such a great game.

What hamachi does is create a local area network that people could connect to using the internet connection, without a network cable etc. aka a Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Or you can just go to CoD4 MP and Start New Server. Then in the Dedicated Tab choose either LAN or Internet.
