try to find some software which can destroy the sector 0 sort of thing... If the sector 0 is gone or corrupted then its the end of the HDD.

there are some virueses which destroy the sector 0 give it a try

or start doing some low level formatting like re defining the sectors... once the process is in the middle restart the pc. it'll destroy the stuff & make it unusable

hmmm what else...

I'll let U know if I find some more.
