for those of you who need to extract exe files and grab whats inside the exe, i’ll show you how to do that manually.

You can simply do this using compression utility such as winrar or 7zip. but it just won’t work for a few exe files such as those that comes from intel website.
As an example, i use Intel SATA/AHCI driver that can be downloaded here.
    To extract the file :

    1. Launch Command Prompt
    2. Go to the directory where you save/download IATA85ENU.exe
    3. Type the following command :
      IATA85ENU.exe /A /P C:\IATA
The files will be extracted to C:\IATA (or any folder that you point in the command above)
Alternatively you can use Universal Extractor

Hi Sudeep.... Its been almost 3 years since you encountered this problem. Hope you found out the way out. Now I am also facing this same problem. My photographer has given me a cd containing about a thousand photos. I want all those photos and he is not ready to give me a simple copy of those photos. He is ready to give just the printouts of those photos. & I cant ask him to print all those. The exe file is same as you mentioned here- MJ Info solutions, picviewer & other details are same. Only difference being a different version (version 2.0). It will be of immense help to me if you could share the solution you found for this problem (if any).
    Thanks

    method 0

tell the photographer that u hv apple/linux pc and it is not possible to open such a file there , or tell him that u r not willing to open some untrusted exe's as there is a big chance that exes binded with some kind of rats
    --
    method 1

try resourcehacker , restorator like apps

    --
    method 2

clean ur temp folder, then run the exe, and check the temp folder, sometimes u may find the extracted image in there.
