Run a Better patch...
Just Uninstall the existing one completely...then restart...
And Download the patch file from this blog after that...

Download the latest IDM from the main site..
then Install it..restart....No worries...
Don't Upgrade IDM...Just Download the latest one From Main Site and Run it and Simply Apply this patch...Works Fine...

2. download IDM from: Link
3. start the installation, but DO NOT click the finish button at the end of the installation
4. extract and run this patch: Link. click the "Patch" button
5. when patching is finished you can click the finish button in the installer
