How to get an email

Just a quick question as I really don't no on this.
If I purchase a domain like chathuvv.com or ,lk does it come with an email like. <what ever the name I like>@chathuvv.com or <what ever the name I like>@chathuvv.lk.

Or shuld I purchase a hosting plan to set up an email like that?
