    In order to increase value of Sri Lankan Rupee. Sri Lanka must follow Swiss Banking rules of secrecy and Tax heaven. Sri Lanka should remove printed money out of circulation gradually. It will automaticly increase the value of Sri Lankan rupee. Sri Lanka should try to at first instance increase 100rs to a dollar. When printed money is removed price of goods will become cheaper from abroad. We are a import dependant nation. We import more goods than we export.

    Stronger the rupee stronger the economy.
    We can pay our countries debts easyly if the value of Rupee is increased. Until we have Free Trade policy our currency will not improve by printing.

    It's not all about stop printing more money and stopping the circulation of new bills, but also to increase and encourage the exports of what so ever, nothing will happen if you just stop printing money and wait. :dull:

    Another way is to redonminate the Sri Lankan rupee. Knock off two zeros

    :lol: lol, wow, from where do you get your facts ...
    At the moment, 1 USD = LKR 132.96
    With your so called strategy "Knock off two zeros", in your dream world, do you think that by omitting two zeros will get the dollar down to 1 USD = LKR 13.296 ? :rofl::rolleyes:

    nothing will change but the value of a dollar will increase to 1 USD = LKR 13,296.00 :lol: But the overall value (purchasing power) will be the same 1 USD = LKR 132.96

:yes::yes:

    we should ditch the Rupee and adopt a common currency and not needing to print money we can be in a better position like most Latin American nations have.
