    make a backup first,
    then rename to 1234.mkv
    then try to play it
u cant play this like that,1st this need to be extracted..this have three parts and FYI i tried renaming all the parts to 001.002.003 and extracted with HJSPLIT but still it's not working :no:

*._a and *._b etc. are very weird for a video format. They are either part of a compressed archive broken in parts or a masked format used to hide the real extension. Anyways, if you are sure if it is a video, Open any folder go to Tools option in the menu, go to Folder Options, go to View tab and make sure Hide file extensions for known file types check box is unchecked. Then, rename the file and erase the ._a part and try to change it to any known video format like, *.avi, *.wmv or *.mpeg.

You can also drag the file into Windows Media Player and see if will run. I how ever never heard of such an extension and doubt it will run.
