I practice Vipassana for 18 years
and I know very well that it works
I can't prove it works,
even Buddha did not try to prove it.
All the meditation centers
allow only vegetarian food
for that matters.
Not that I don't like to eat meat.
But my practice of Vipassana had made my body more sensitive.
If I try to eat meat my body repels it.
I used to smoke, sometimes 20 cigarettes a day.
Few yaers back I tried a puff just to test.
I felt how does the smoke burns my system.
It is ignorance of oneself allow people follow these habits.
Eat only meat for few days and see.
You can get proof for yourself.
If it does not make your mind disturbed it is fine for you to eat meat.
You already have a disturbed mind.
So it does not matter.
Look at someone who eat meat when he sits on a chair for sometimes,...
he would constantly change his posture.
They get angry easily,
Sleeps a lot.
Falls asleep listening to music, watching a movie.
Compare vegitarians and non-vegitarians you know.
Grow up.
Drop this dependence on others
to feed you with everything.
If you don't see any substance drop it.
If you guess there is something,
think about it, test it till you accept or drop it.
