Hybrid car insurance price gone up

Just spoke to a HNB insurance to get a quote for a 36 lacks Aqua, they told prices are gone up due to too many claims on hybrid vehicles. so they quoted me 90 thousand which was 66 thousand last Friday morning.

Are sure you? Because Ceylinco quoted 60,000 for a Premio, and there were many claims in the history. It's ridiculous to charge more just because your car is hybrid.
