A poem should be deep in thought and deep in sense.

It should leave something for the reader to Ponder and Think about after he/she has read it.

If you try to say EVERYTHING inside the poem.. you are a failure.

There's a female collegue of mine, who is hell bent on writting "viraha kavi" about some bullshit sunken love boat of hers... and she send them all to me?

WHY ? how the heck am I suppose to know ? she say that I am a prime contender in the catagory and I should understand how a woman feels when dumped by a man

So, screw it... about one week back, I wrote this back to her.

Now she send me NO MORE poems.. and she's angry with me too.

I hate love poems.

So I should write an anti-love para or some sort of bitchy thing I guess.

To start with, I am sick to death with “How soft are her lips”, “The curve of her hips”seriously. Why the fu_k would I want to hear about fallacies you build up in your head............just that cause you can write it in your little black book to show your friends ? Pretending you’re some great poet.

This world is filled with billions of topics, inflation, terrorism, politics, murder, rape, war, vandalism or at least for crying out loud the biggest criminal "Mahinda Chinthanaya" and yet Nine times out of ten amateurs with their books of words and rhyming dictionaries chose to write about an emotion, a fear of loneliness and simply some fu_king stupid love story they don't have an idea about.

“Her raven hair”,
“Her innocent stare”,

I can’t take it anymore.One at a time, you march onto stage, and squint in the glaring spotlight as you smile at the faceless, dark audience and pour out your thoughts on love.

With all the unbearable bad rhyming and questionable syncopation arrrhhhhhhh... bloody Poem after poem after poem

“I feel his hands upon my neck”,
“When you’re gone I am a wreck”,

And I sit here, in front of my laptop and wish with every single bone in my body and going past the bones and wishing with every inch of myself that I would never get to read single one of those lame ass love poems.

I checked with the friend of mine about the question you asked me.

If you have legle copyrights to the content it self (you have to copyright it your self) you have two options.

1. You can ask for a royalty payment (ex : a precentage or a sum for every album which is sold)

2. A lumpsum amount where you will be legaly handing over the copyright to your entire contect. After that, you don't have any rights for THEIR usage of your content.

How can you ever "assume" that another person is Not or IS sensitive ?

Agree, a poem is a personal feeling which is streamed out in words... and mind you, it's a GIFT from god it self.

I can never write a poem even if my life depends on it., so I would rather not torment my brain over it.

HOWEVER,

We all have the freedom to voice our opinion as well. So I don't like love poems.

May be you like it.. Ok, FINE, NO PROBLEM ! go ahead and drown your self over it.

But, I don't like it , That's it !
