If you think about religion too much, you can't eat anything. Plants also live, they also have a life. To live, you have to take life.
In our religion, what we do is to honor the lives that given to us to sustain our lives.
Hunting is natural in animal kingdom. It is necessary for the evolution. The weakling has to die, and the powerful should survive. The weakling has to sacrifice for the greater benefit of their own specie. This is a bit complex theory in evolution called Natural Selection and Survival of the fittest.
