what's the point of having an icloud lock if it can be removed easily?

icloud lock is there to prevent theft.

if someone steals your iphone all you have to do is to log on to your icloud account and disable the phone. there's absolutely no way to activate the phone without inserting icloud password.

if you forget your icloud password you can reset it the same way you reset any other password. that is you need to have access to the email account you used when setting up icloud.
