it all depends... Firefox is the one ppl love most, it can be configured and well tuned with adding extensions etc... and firefox shd be a bit faster - comparatively... Yet, I use IE most of the times... he he... it's just the feeling... I too use firefox... try both n even try Opera too... I don't like safari but it's worth while a shot...

It is not based on Linux!!! Its open source!!! It works in Windows, Linux and also Mac OS X....
