Import tax on mobile phones

Hi Guys,

I need to know is there a tax applied to importing a mobile phone .I read on the internet on some old pdfs there is a 15%+1% tax applied.but I also read that this tax was removed in 2010.Note I m planning to buy this from Amazon via kapruka.com.So no choice for send it as a gift.

any input from anyone who have imported something like this is welcome.
