As I've said somewhere else, it is the nature of the war. (US calls it collateral damage!)

As an example: when LTTE explodes a bomb to kill a VIP in Colombo, innocent people also gets hurt. Because it is hard to explode a bomb directly targeting a particular person. (Bombs are not intelligent!)

Same happens in the North as well. When AF jets bomb target locations, surrounding gets destroyed as well.

And I hope you know that the GOSL ordered all humanitarian agencies to leave North right? That is because of the same reason. But those sexless LTTE doesn't allow Tamil people to leave North. So that they can publish these kinds of news all the time. (So called Freedom Fighters)

And also there is a BIG difference TIGERS bombing Colombo and SLAF bombing North!
