Indian doctor rules out Lasith Malinga for four weeks

Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indian team will also miss the services of Sri Lanka's bowling sensation Lasith Malinga in the ongoing IPL tournament.

A Pune-based Indian doctor has ruled him out for the ongoing IPL matches in India. "Malinga is unlikely to play for four more weeks and will certainly miss the IPL matches', his doctor Amod Harit said from Colombo.”He still has a pain on his striking foot due to knee injury and unable to attend to attends the practice sessions", the doctor Amord Harit from Apollo Hospital said.

Indian doctor is settled in Sri Lanka since last four months and wishes to continue over there for few more years at least. "This is my first experience of treating an international cricketer and I am excited to offer my services to him".

The 25 -year-old Malinga has been advised rest and physiotherapy treatment by the docor. Ajantha Wattigama, the physio attached with the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is monitoring Lasih Malinga's fitness.
