u see mine is a generic (so im worried) but this card consume lot less power (this based on a 65nm G92 core)than a GTS 320mb (based on a 90nm G80 core) so i have my hopes high..if u guys find me utterly non responsive tomo..either i have blew up ma psu or ma pc wont even star cuz the psu think ma 8800GT short circuiting it

Unfortunately I managed to read it...

    That's good news!

So did you test it out ?... is your 450W PSU alive ?
I guess I can be safe with my 500W one if I get this :P

I see. Good that converters are there. But if it is a 450W generic, good luck. Some guy (;)) couldn't get his PC to start after plugging in an 8800GTS 320 to his 400W generic :D

You may notice that I did not login elakiri last 2 3 days Thats coz my 450Watt Mercury fried after plugging ma new 8800gt :P :P

    OMG !
How many hardware you're using to draw so much power ?
I'm using 2 HDDs and one dvd drive with a core2 chip...so is 500W enough to use this beast ?:oo:

Sasika is using a pentium D 3.4 chip which makes more heat n eats more power....Core 2s are energy efficient....A lot better compared to pentium Ds......

yes pentium Ds eat lot of power n most of the PSU s in Sl dont offer much power as they say
like although mine is a genuine Mercury 450 watt , it may have given less than 350 watts  , Its also same for the frnd has 500 watt, I m 100% sure the real power out is 375watts> , (they usually calculate the whole power consuption + psu , not the real power out wattage)

Now Im equipped wit a Delux , gming, servers 500 watt psu it can give about 450~475 watts out :D n cost me a lot :(

Once i had a Pentium D 820 n a 350 watt PSU n the damn thing ran as hot as the cpu itself.....when i installed a P4 chip, it ran on a comfortable temp........

some 500 watt psus cannot machan, i had another offer for 550 watt bt that cannot run 8800gt coZ the amperage is low (i think 8800gt need 24~26amps ) - 2 *4 pin connnectors

Where did you get that PSU from ? and how much?

I was hunting for a PSU above 550W yesterday and couldn't find one, even EPSI didn''t have one when I called and asked them ! :baffled:
