You can install 32-bit apps inside x64 OS. There are separate system files for that

You can install any 32bit application on 64bit platform. There's no problems or compatibility issue on that. The only thing you have to worry is whether if that application has any 16bit parts in it. if so then it would not work properly.

16bit apps don't work on 64bit platforms.
