but how is it going faster than the USB 2 data transfer limits ?? Does it use a new USB protocol as well ?

No, no. This is USB 2.0 Hi-speed (what we all know).
Theoretically, Vista installation will be about 6GB, so ~6000MB/60MBps = 100s < less than 2 minutes. But we all know it's not like that. I think it has a lot to do with the way Vista installation is made.

umm isnt that 48000/60MBps = 800s ~ about 13 minutes ?

Data transfer rates are given in bits not bytes..

Pissu. My old PC could install within 30 minutes. This one can do within 25 minutes. :rolleyes:
