CORSAIR IS COMING out with faster USB sticks, dubbed Voyager GT. These allegedly indestructible drives are supposed to be so fast, that you can install Windows Vista Home Premium edition in a matter of minutes. Three minutes, to be precise.

Buy a 16GB model and try installing Vista on it

No, no. This is USB 2.0 Hi-speed (what we all know).
Theoretically, Vista installation will be about 6GB, so ~6000MB/60MBps = 100s < less than 2 minutes. But we all know it's not like that. I think it has a lot to do with the way Vista installation is made.

Theoretically, Vista installation will be about 6GB, so ~6000MB/60MBps = 100s < less than 2 minutes. But we all know it's not like that. I think it has a lot to do with the way Vista installation is made.

umm isnt that 48000/60MBps = 800s ~ about 13 minutes ?

Data transfer rates are given in bits not bytes..

Pissu. My old PC could install within 30 minutes. This one can do within 25 minutes.
