International Warranty Brands in Sri Lanka MegaThread.

Please mention international brands, which provide means to claim warranties within Sri Lanka, no matter where it was bought or imported from ( at least for US, EUROPE, EMEA and JP,AU regions). For an example I bought a Lenovo monitor from USA last year, but seems I can't claim warranties in Sri Lanka for that. So this thread would help us in the future when making good buying decisions.

Also please any additional information as local agents, service centers, alike additional information that can be useful when claiming warranties.

Honestly their support gave me contradictory responses each time I contacted them. At one time they asked me to claim the warranty from BestBuy where I bought it and then BestBuy would ask to claim it from Lenovo. So this went back and forth and I decided to keep the monitor which has a slight BL bleed.

So the point of this thread is to identify proven means to claim warranties and associated brands.

නෑ බන් මම BestBuy එකෙන් අරගෙන forwarder කෙනෙක් හරහා ගෙන්වා ගත්ත.

Check the link you purchased. return to base nam bestbuy responsible. Return to manufacture nam Lenovo responsible for return handling.

Monitors never come with international warranty. People not carry them around like laptops .

Still shipping them back to US is inconvenient. So I started this thread to find if there are any other brands that provides warranty through an entity in Sri Lanka. At least repairs.

Desktop parts never come with international warranty. You can check the warranty policy by entering serial no on Lenovo product support page.

Yes, as long as your product is under Apple Care warranty.

As far as i know they only accept the devices which are TRcsl approved and released for asian region. All those places ask for emei number prior to even give an appointment

Asus/Dell/ Lenovo also support international warranty as long as you have international warranty policy with invoice.

how to get that when purchasing an item? I haven't seen the option in online sites.
