just bought an iphone 7. the reasons for the selection;

1. already was with a previous iphones so it is more comfortable to be in the same OS than thinking of a change.

2. was listening to podcasts so want to continue that.

3. never had phone hardware software issues, so hope it will continue in the future.

4. battery life is not that of an issue as not using the phone heavily.

5. was using a bluetooth headset for listening to podcasts and connection had no issues before.

6. size was right (samsung s7 also is in the same size range).

7. being in long calls never had any discomfort with iphones.

the only main issue for my limited use was not having a good camera. for my hiking and other outdoor travelling a good camera in the phone is very handy thing. compared samsung s7 and google pixel but given the convenience iphone 7 was selected. after all its just a phone not the whole life.
