Iran did not allow nuclear inspectors to visit a key suspect facility and did not agree to the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) plan for probing alleged nuclear weapons activities this week.
The announcement came hours before a senior team of IAEA officials was expected to return from Tehran to Vienna following its second, unsuccessful round of talks with Iranian nuclear officials.
'It is disappointing that Iran did not accept our request to visit Parchin during the first or second meetings,' said IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano. 'We engaged in a constructive spirit, but no agreement was reached.'
The IAEA has received intelligence information that the implosion of a nuclear warhead was simulated at the Parchin military complex.
