Yes, as I said, there is no ethical concern in applying lipstick. For one thing, it does not harm anyboday. On the other hand, it seems that mere application of lipstick (by a boy) has nothing do with human virtues like compassion, courage and so-on.

Here in this case I think X was not defending a position in the 'need' to do it and nor was I suggesting that there is a need for X to do it.

I don't think that he had any idea of whether an atheist actually needs to give a positive argument to prove his/her position.
