i dont know brother, its upto u. if you think like this, then creating a paypal account for another country will be also be an offense. Receiving foreign currency in an illegal manner. But I know for sure that there are so many people who earn millions of rupees form forex; still without any problem.

    Too bad ....
Forex trading without registration is illegal in SL. YOU HAVE TO REGISTER !!!
So government can impose the tax on you.
Using foreign account for paypal is ILLEGAL this will evade the tax.

As my father told, who is an executive (can't mention who :rofl:) in the controller department (which controls/regulates/sues money change, forex, sakviti:growl: etc... stuff).
There's nothing to sue them yet; but I promise you, MR will put it soon!!:growl: He's running outta money :lol:

hhhmm, may be, but nothing has happened as yet. I see it differently. You deposit money to the broker (lets say etoro) with moneybookers. Sri Lankan government cant find that. Then after you trade, you withdraw to moneybookers. Government cant find that too.

Then, you withdraw moneybookers to bank account. Moneybookers to bank account is not illegal. So, how can the government come to know that the money was from forex? or that you do forex?

They will simply ban etoro (still you may use proxy or encrypted channels :) )
I'm not talking about whether government can find out or not .. i'm saying they are illegal

Just because everybody doing it and government is currently not doing anything about it
does not make anything legal ... like sakvithi

OK GUYS I CONTACTED A HIGH RANKING OFFICER IN THE CENTRAL BANK.
HE SAID TRADING IS NOT ILLEGAL.
BUT WE CAN'T TRANSFER MONEY FROM SRI LANKA FOR TRADING PURPOSES. YOU CAN'T PAY USING THE CREDIT CARD.
BUT YOU CAN USE MONEY YOU EARN ONLINE FOR TRADING. YOU CAN RECEIVE PAYMENTS VIA ANY BANK.
BUT IF ASKED WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN THE SOURCE OF INCOME.
