Why not think sanely and spare a thought for these doctors and srilanka.
We should be thankful that srilanka is providing free eductation and giving every one a chance to become doctors.Some who would never be able to afford the education but are capable enough have the chance to make something of themselves.
Secondly its merit based and fair enough to everyone.If you are no the cream of the crop,then the govt cannot afford to make everyone doctors so there has to be a seperation system.
Why not give these doctors some credit.Without them were would our mothers our father and other sick people go.Government doctors work like dogs and are paid in peanuts. Some of them might be negligent some of them might have made mistakes but who is perfect in the profession.Rocket scientists , Pilots,Engineers and plumbers even all make mistakes.
Private college will save us a lot of foreign exchange and this will be greater good for society.Our rupee will be stronger somewhat and it would contribute to knowledge based society.The only thing to fear is that these Pvt colleges will attract the good professors and doctors away from government universities because they will pay better.These colleges might also have more state of the art equipment to practice with. The govt should provide some incentives to make sure the standard of govt universities is not compromised.This is what the local students fear.
How would you feel if you worked so hard , got better marks and got into local uni and then find out those who are just fortunate to afford can get better facilities even though they didnt do that well in exams
