Recently i hd an argument wit a frnd abt Pres.Rajapakshe attending da "Toni Ranasinghe" samaru ullela

I said dat it was wrong of da pres2go there purely becos da country is not in a gd state & dat he cld hv dn smtin usful wit dat time instead of goin there2 enjy hm self!

My frnd on de other hand said dat it ws a gud des by our pres bcos it promotes cultural activities in our country!

Give me ur thouts on dis!

first i have to wish sridanu for coming to our ElaKiri Comunity and the forum.. and Congratz for the Tetris champion thing as well..

k let me talk about few ideas about President of SL . first of all im not insulting anyone but my idea about LTTE was WAR. and becaose of this governement War came to the scne again.. ya lets say its ok..

but i really dont like putting living costs and stuff. coz believe me in Mahinda Chinthanaya 1 what he did was

01. Time adjustment
02. increasing Price of Diesel , Petrol .
03. and some unwanted stuff like.. some copyright laws and stuff... ( but i agree to copyright law but do u ppl think that all the users who using Windows have to buy the original .. its not practical in SL.. dont u think )
04. the food and stuff increased.. but we can say its a normal thing coz new government and stuff...

and in Mahinda Chinthanaya 2

01. again Increasing the price of Diesel and petrol
02. putting the NATA agreement. i think still no one know this.. but im 50% agree to this thing. coz no one can Smoke in public and no one can drink liquar in public places. ( that mean in Clubs cant smoke and cant Drink)

but as a President most of businesses going down.. i dont think u guy who about this .. just go check Majestic City for weekend and see how many ppl are there.. but when UNP Governement was there there were lot of ppl and ppl had money in the hands.. now its so hard to live..

this is my idea.. but im not scolding anyone.. coz im not a good politics thinker.. lets seee what others say.....

hey i totally agree with you lich......... and i dun thnk dis chinthanaya did any thn xcept incresin prices of goods...!!! and making poor lankan suffer dan dey were....!! and da thn abt unp , ppl haing money when they were in govenment.. dats damn true man ,, i kno dose stuff coz i do buisness in da cse!!! damn da markets have fallen down and there even who got effected from is da poor or de middle class ppl!!!
1 thing i have to say clear is dat buisness dun go with any govenment other than unp!!!
dont thnk im taking 1 side but thats da utter truth!!! and we have to admit it!!!

ya wat both of you guys said is 100% true... i'm not living in SL but still all my family members and friends saying stuff like this... they say that, there’s no use of any chinthanaya.. every time wen a new government comes up, they shout saying various things but finally nothing is happening... dis is a damn waste... as lich said wen UNP government is in power, ppl had money.. and da market also went up.. but now can't see anything new happening other than bombs every where.. dis is hell.. don't know wat happenign to our beautifull country

da thing i have notice is, hez nat a strong president like as Mr.Preamadasa as expected. because u know he also got suffered in some situations like Daya Master;s issue and he appointed Mr.Kabral as da chairman of Centrel Bank. The most wonderful factor is hez doing everything without da support of Muslim Congress n Thondaman.

On da otherhand some of fact dat people trying to emphasize is why he still unable to complete some parts in Mahinda Chinthanaya.. Yeah, its nat easy to complete evrything within less dan one year in such a developing country like SL.

Let See how did he used hez strategies since november 17.

Most people think, we need to make our resources with such nations like USA, or european countries. But Mahinda wz bit intelligent and he identified the rapid improvement of every areas in Indian how strong india is in asian region. Daz wut da George W.Bush also done. he also make an agreement with India about da security. Mahinda has sent Mangala to india before everything and he knew how important the support of india in econimics as well as da security. And he had a a hesitation about Wiko's support to LTTE. and whether may be dat will affect to standard about LTTE . on da other hand he knew Pakistani government dun need to see that much friendship between president of Sri Lanka and the Government of India. Daz why he made an official trip to Pakistan by hez own to meet president Musharaff.

Mahinda was so charitable when attacks of LTTE at da beging and one of official in US abasy made a statement " President of Sri Lanka is much charitable than any leader, if such a thing has happened in our country, our president has already destroyed entire jaffna penesula"...unforunatley dis statement dint had a much properganda in foregin or local media..den wut waz da actions he took just after da Claymore attack after da bomblast in Army Head Quarters n Kebitigollewa he comand to airforce to attack some of LTTE Targets. Actualy none of International Community never condemed about dose attacks, and Mahinda has convinced international community about hes charitabity before.
